- Checked and topped off engine fluid levels, checked and adjusted tire pressures
- Removed and replaced radiator assembly road test vehicle and monitor temps, Found temp not exceeding 202 degrees fan no longer running at max. Advise customer due to radiator condition other cooling system concerns may be present, water pump, tstat etc.
- Upon inspection found incorrect coolant in vehicle, green installed and vehicle requires motor craft gold, Inspect hoses and clamps. Pressure test cooling system. Flush engine, radiator, and heater core in both directions. Bring antifreeze to -35 degrees. PH balance coolant to between 9.8 to 10.5. Check thermostat and electric cooling fan operation.
- Verify concern monitor coolant temp while driving noted fans on at full command and temp rising up to 220 degrees. Installed coolant dye and inspect spark plug for coolant none noted, perform block test passed. Test temp of inlet and outlet hoses of radiator found extreme temp difference. Advise customer need to start with radiator then retest
